How to blur on CapCut in 2024?
Carly
Blurring a part of your video can be helpful for privacy or to add a creative touch. CapCut makes it relatively easy, too. Here’s a guide to help you blur your videos using CapCut.
1. Download CapCut desktop video editor (MacOS and Windows)
CapCut is available on:
Desktop: MacOS and Windows
Mobile: iPhone, iPad, and Android
Online: Use directly in your browser
Pick the version that works best for you.
2. Import your video
Open CapCut. Upload your video by clicking on Import.
Then, drag your video into the timeline.
3. Add a blur effect
Click on the Effects tab at the top of the screen.
Search for ‘blur’ and choose an effect.
Drag the effect onto your clip in the timeline.
4. Adjust it
Depending on the blur one you choose, you can tweak its intensity, color, speed, glow, range, etc.
If you’d like to blur a portion of your video, export the blur video and import it again. Then, use the Mask tool to choose which part of the video should be blurred.
You can pick shapes like circles or rectangles and position them over the area you want to blur.
5. Fine-tuning
You can adjust the mask's size, position, and feather to ensure the blur covers the right area.
6. Save or export
Once you're happy with the effect, hit Save or Export. Pick your resolution and quality, then hit Export again to save it to your device.
To sum it up
With these steps, you can blur any section of your video in CapCut. Did you know you can also blur your background on Tella? Just open Tella, click the webcam icon, and use portrait mode to adjust the blur intensity. Give these tools a try to see what works for you.
